WestRocket is a company that specializes in the production of commercial and military vessels. Among their main productions are the Short Range Fighter SRF Goose Class BDM-9191980 and the Extended Stay Transport and Cargo Vessel ESTC Kermode Class TP-411998. 

In addition to their commercial vessels, WestRocket also produces a range of Royal Canadian Space Cavalry Vessels, including the Command Carrier RCSC CC Grizzly Class MT-02011920, Armed Escort Frigate RCSC AEF Eagle Class MT-05041910, Assault and Defense Corvette RCSC ADC King Class MT-1000LE, Refueling and Supply Ship RCSC RSS Caribou Class MT-1812EC, and Recon Fighter RCSC RF Coyote Class MT-02041841.

Annual Output

WestRocket is a leading manufacturer in the space industry, with 300 assembly plants spread across multiple star systems in all 13 sectors. Each facility produces an estimated 1,000 long haul cargo and passenger ships annually, resulting in close to 30,000 ESTC Kermode Class ships being produced every year. 

The SRF Goose Class BDM-9191980 is the only civilian fighter available in the market, and it is generally sold as a package deal with the Kermode Class cargo ship. However, its output is lower than its larger counterpart, with an estimated 5,000 units being produced annually throughout the Canadian Expanse. It is worth noting that the Quebec sector is the only one that limits WestRocket’s manufacturing to the Kermode Class. 

Overall, WestRocket’s extensive manufacturing capabilities and range of products have made it a key player in the space industry. The company’s commitment to quality and innovation has led to the production of thousands of ships each year, meeting the needs of both cargo and passenger transportation.

The WestRocket Military Division is known for its secrecy when it comes to their numbers. Despite this estimate, the actual figures are kept confidential and under the tightest security.

History

Early Innovations and the Mach 500 Rocket (2018)

In 2018, WestRocket made a breakthrough in aerospace engineering with the development of the first Mach 500 rocket. The early tests showed promising results, indicating that if successful, the Mach 500 rocket could significantly shorten travel times to distant celestial bodies, including Pluto, by several years. The potential impact of this advancement sparked widespread excitement and anticipation in the scientific community.

Expansion and the ESTC Kermode Class (2266)

In 2266, WestRocket achieved another milestone with the release of the Extended Stay Transport and Cargo Vessel ESTC Kermode Class TP-411998. This state-of-the-art vessel addressed the growing demand for extended space travel capabilities, offering enhanced features to accommodate long-duration journeys while efficiently transporting cargo across vast interstellar distances.

The Colony Arks and Collaborations (2020)

WestRocket played a crucial role in the design and development of the Colony Arks, which were instrumental in transporting people from Earth to the Canadian Expanse. These Arks were sleeper ships, each capable of carrying as many as 3,000 passengers in suspended animation, ensuring their safe arrival at their new home in the Canadian Expanse.

The development of the Arks was a collaborative effort, with WestRocket working closely with Danish Cryogenics company, Dyb Søvn Cryogenics, and Danish Aerospace company, ScanFlight. The unveiling of the first Arks in 2020 captured the world’s attention, providing a much-needed distraction from escalating geopolitical tensions.

The Ark Missions (2020-2025)

The first Arks embarked on their historic journey to the Leif Erikson Wormhole later in 2020, with the expected travel time of close to ten years. In 2024, the Canadian Space Initiative ordered an entire fleet of Arks as global warming and climate change led to unpredictable weather conditions and food shortages. The urgency of the Ark Missions spurred WestRocket’s growth, leading to a quadrupling of their production capacity by 2025.

However, the Ark Missions were not without challenges and tragedies. In 2025, an Ark carrying primarily scientists suffered a malfunction and veered dangerously close to large asteroids, resulting in the crew and passengers being declared missing in action. Despite efforts to establish contact and launch rescue missions, the crew was later declared killed in action.

In 2034, a second tragedy struck when an Ark encountered a debris storm upon entering the Canadian Expanse, forcing it off course and causing severe damage. The Ark was forced to eject its precious cargo, resulting in the loss of over 2,000 passengers. Of these, only two, who were not on the ship’s manifest, were never recovered.

In 2066, WestRocket underwent significant changes as the last of the Arks departed from Earth, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the company in the Canadian Expanse.
